The desktop client is a full featured application which can be used to run a full risk assessment.

The SOBF Tool currently uses the Apache Derby Database engine to store the data internally. Updates from the Repository can be loaded without a hassle since the database records are identified by UUIDs (Universally Unique IDs). Which means that a database record has universally the same identification number. When you are using the standard repository data from SOMAP.org every further update will be able to detect when it needs to update the same dataset.
